File Formats

Most formats are acceptable but we prefer Adobe Acrobat PDF files. These do not change when you move them from one computer to another. We can handle, Word, Works, Access, Powerpoint, Excel, most image file formats, CAD, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, PhotoShop and InDesign to name quite a few. There are a lot of different formats in use and if yours in not listed then contact us as we still maybe able to help.

We prefer PDF files and not all programmes can create them but we have a blue button on the right which links to PDF Creator. This is a free, easy to use PDF maker. Install it on your computer and use it like a printer to create PDF files.

Alternatively you can use an on-line service like Docupub to create a PDF file from your file.

Pictures

If you want us to print pictures from a digital camera we get the best result with the original jpg file. When imported into programmes such as Word, Powerpoint, etc. they affect to way the image prints and can alter resolution and colours. If you want to assemble a montage or similar then use an image manipulating programme as PhotoShop or Gimp. Ideally the image should be 300 dpi at the size to be printed.

Sending Work to Us

We accept files on most media as well as by email. If your files are large then sites like We Transfer offer both free and paid for service to transfer large files. Use the blue buttons on the right have links to them.

VAT

VAT is applicable to all copying and printed matter but some items like music, leaflets and booklets are zero rated. Download HMRC Notice 701/10 by clicking on the red button on the right for more details.
